Laura Kvelstein is a freelance dance artist. She has passed classical dance training at Fouetté Ballet School and contemporary dance training at Fine5 Dance School. She joined Fine5 Dance Theatre in 2004 and has remained a member since. During her career as a dancer, she has worked with many established Estonian and foreign choreographers in Estonia, Finland, the Netherlands and the USA (Tommi Kitti, Jyrkki Karttunen, Matteo Moles, Noemie Lafrance, Claire Filmon, etc.). In 2006, she received the Best Dancer award at the I.D.A. festival (Tartu, Estonia). The same year she was awarded the II prize for the duet “One spot, two shadows” together with Dimitri Kruus at the IFMC festival in Vitebsk, Belarus. She continues working as a freelance dancer with different creative groups and projects. In 2012, she co-founded millimeter performance group.
