Kanuti Gildi SAAL

Kanuti Gildi SAAL was the first independent production house and performing arts centre in Estonia opened in 2002. It has been devoted to independent artists and companies in all performing arts fields ever since the beginning.

Prepared to take risks, Kanuti Gildi SAAL would like to put the artistic process at the centre of its work bringing the spectators into contact with current developments in the performing arts.
The aim is to create situations where everything can happen. Between artists and also between artists and audience. Acting both locally and internationally.

Kanuti Gildi SAAL co-produces currently about 4-6 local and international productions during the season, including taking care of their touring.
Ever since the beginning Kanuti Gildi SAAL has also offered residency to artists in various formats. Currently running residency programs for Estonian and Nordic artists by invitation.

Kanuti Gildi SAAL is the organizer of the oldest international performing arts festival in Tallinn – SAAL Biennaal (formerly August DanceFestival) and co-organizer of the NU Performance festival.
